Buy a House in Amsterdam

Compare the decisions in your purchase

Use the same questions for homes, documents, costs and conditions when you assess a house in Amsterdam.

Compare what you can verify

Put homes side by side using the same columns: location and travel time, floor area, condition, owners’ association, leasehold, financing, one-off costs and expected monthly costs. For each column, record the source and date as well.

Separate preference from condition

A sunny living room is a preference. Unclear leasehold terms, missing owners’ association records or a budget with no buffer are conditions to investigate. The buyer process explanation helps you decide when to ask each question; the cost overview helps you compare amounts consistently.

Finish with a stop point. If a document is unavailable or an assumption cannot be confirmed, do not automatically rank the home higher because the viewing felt good.
